Given the movie’s commercial success, we’ve already got a confirmed sequel and there’s definite chatter about a Spider-Man/Venom crossover. While it would be AWESOME to see them incorporated into the MCU I’m trying not to get my hopes up. But that being said, what are some of your favorite crossovers with Venom or which would you like to see, movies or otherwise?
With the renewed possibility of another Fantastic Four reboot within the MCU, I’d love to see Venom involved with a Spiderweb/F4 storyline a la Carnage and Venom vs The Amazing Spider-Man: Carnage Part 2. Long story short, Symbrock is living their best life on a deserted island, thinking Spider-Man was dead, when Spidey and the Human Torch come to get their help against Carnage. Venom turns out to be a fan of the Fantastic Four lol

Date: 2019-01-06 09:45 am (UTC)I'd like to see how they reimagine the Venom and Spiderman relationship in the movies, given the way they've set Venom up, and it seems an obvious thing to do in the sequel. That said, I'm not especially invested in Spiderman turning up at all. I think that including Spiderman runs the risk of making Venom second-bill in their own movie, just because of the name recognition Spidey has.
As you can see I'm in two minds about it. It's weird to feel that way, because Spidey is one of my faves. But I really don't want Venom to be cast as the villain; I want them to stay firmly in anti-hero territory, and Spiderman could all too easily upset that balance.
One of the things I loved about Venom was that they didn't stray too far into traditional superhero territory. I think I might prefer that they bring in Morbius or someone like that to help with Carnage. Or even if they explore the Klyntar backstory more. That could be really cool.
Thanks for asking this question. I hadn't articulated my unease with the Spiderman idea, and you've helped me put it into words. It all depends on the treatment. I'm definitely leaning more towards "no" than "yes" on Spidey but I'll see the sequel either way unless they do something horrendous.

No problem! Honestly it was something that hadn’t fully occurred to me before now. There’s so much that can be done with the movieverse so I hope they do while keeping the established role of antihero.

drabble - venom is horny for humans and deadpool is horny for everyone

“Oh, I’m sorry. Did you think we were making friends? No, no. I already have a super-group. This is clearly one of those crossovers that only exists so that two—or three—of the horniest characters just get to bang it out. Special collector’s edition.”
“...Venom?” says Eddie, because Venom likes to take the wheel in dangerous or sexual situations, and this, clearly, is both.
The hot chocolate arrives. Venom chugs it all.
a crossover would be a really horny situation is what I'm trying to say
