Venom 2 Fests - Draft for feedback

Okay friends,

Based on your poll responses, here's what I'm thinking we'll do to celebrate Venom 2. I'd really like your feedback.

There are four fests:

• A non-traditional Big Bang, which would open for sign ups very soon and post in October
• A bingo fest that would start soon and hum along until October
• A fanworks exchange that would sign up around July and post in October
• A prompt fest right around when the excitement for the movie starts, and running through October

The rules for the Big Bang will mostly be based on the rules for the DeanCas Big Bang, because that is a well-oiled machine. But!!! I'm not a huge fan of making everything fiction-centric, so instead, I propose that we'll have a primary creator who starts the project, who will then be matched up with a remixer/illustrator/podficcer who will expand on the primary creator's work.

So a final Big Bang that's posted could be, for instance:

• two stories which riff off each other, or
• art and a vid on the same theme, or
• a story and art/vid (the traditional pairing), or
• a story and a podfic
• etc.

I think this will work, but only if people are willing to give it a try. Before I go ahead with this idea, I'd like feedback, please. Would you be willing to sign up for a Big Bang like this, that isn't the traditional story/art combo?

If it helps, for those who don’t know what remixing means - Remixing is when you take someone’s work and transform into another medium. Say you wrote a fic then someone would take it and ‘remix’ into an artwork and vica versa.

Thanks for adding the clarification.

Remixing can also be when you write a story based on another -- from another character's perspective, or same plot but AU, or adding a missing scene and so on.
